Introduction

In this document, references to “Qualitools Africa (Pty) Ltd”, “we”, “us”, or “the Group” refer to Qualitools Africa (Pty) Ltd and its subsidiary companies.

Qualitools Africa (Pty) Ltd recognises its accountability in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”), other privacy protection legislation, and the associated regulations.

We are required to collect personal information from employees, clients, and suppliers to carry out our business. To maintain a trusted relationship with our stakeholders, we are committed to complying with both the spirit and the letter of POPIA and all applicable privacy laws, and to act with due skill, care, and diligence when processing personal information.

According to POPIA, personal information means information relating to an identifiable, living natural person, or where applicable, an identifiable existing juristic person, including but not limited to:

  • Race, gender, sex, pregnancy, marital status, national, ethnic or social origin, colour, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental health, disability, religion, belief, culture, language, and birth

  • Education, medical, financial, criminal, or employment history

  • Identifying numbers, symbols, email addresses, telephone numbers, location information, online identifiers

  • Biometric information

  • Personal opinions, views, or preferences

  • Correspondence that reveals personal content

  • Opinions or views of another person about the individual

  • A person’s name when it appears with other personal information or reveals personal details on its own

When Will We Process Your Personal Information

We will only process your personal information for lawful business purposes when:

  • It is necessary to conclude or perform a contract with you

  • Processing is necessary to protect legitimate interests (yours, ours, or a third party’s)
